  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and digital reporting tools.
  • Motorcycle driving with valid license.

  • Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Project Coordinator for the Project Entitle: Empowering Civil Society for Climate Justice and Environment Protection.

  • Reports to: Director of Uttaran.

Job Context

The Project Coordinator will oversee the overall planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of the project. S/he will provide leadership to achieve the project’s goals and results by ensuring climate-sensitive, gender-responsive, and socially inclusive approaches.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and update the Annual Operational Plan (AOP), log frame, and detailed budget.

  • Conduct risk analysis, develop, and implement mitigation plans.

  • Assess climate risks and adaptation needs.

  • Develop and implement a results-based Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework.

  • Ensure mainstreaming of Gender and Social Inclusion (GSI).

  • Coordinate and supervise climate-resilient agriculture, livelihoods, and natural resource management activities.

  • Plan and implement land rights protection and related awareness activities.

  • Maintain effective coordination with local government, land offices, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Strengthen the capacity of Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and local committees.

  • Develop and implement advocacy plans.

  • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, civil society, and media.

  • Prepare and submit quality narrative and financial reports to donors in a timely manner.

  • Develop success stories and best practice documentation.

  • Ensure digital reporting and information management systems.

  • Oversee budget planning, expenditure tracking, and ensure financial discipline.

  • Supervise procurement processes in compliance with policies.

  • Lead training and capacity-building initiatives for the project team.

  • Conduct performance appraisals.
