• Practical understanding of job placement, employer engagement, and career guidance.

• Knowledge of digital livelihoods, including freelancing, e-commerce, or remote work models.

• Basic understanding of entrepreneurship development and financial inclusion, including savings, seed funding, or microenterprise support.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Bangla; basic English skills preferred.

• Ability to work independently in field settings and manage multiple participants.

• Basic computer literacy and comfort using digital tools and online platforms.

Tenure of Services Contract:

 3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project’s lifetime.

Responsibilities & Context:

Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 September 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is going to implement a project named ‘’Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE)” at Satkhira districts. The project will be implemented by the support of SCI. BTS is going to recruit a ‘Life Skill Trainer ’ for the mentioned project the position’s desk office will be in Satkhira District.

Project Background : The pathways to prosperity of this project aims to improve access to decent work and sustainable livelihoods for NEET young women in Satkhira District. The project combines digital and employability skills training, e-commerce and freelancing pathways, entrepreneurship support, financial inclusion, and engagement with employers and communities to reduce gender-based barriers to economic participation.

Project Overview The Life Skill Trainer will support the implementation of the Pathways to Prosperity project in Satkhira District, Bangladesh. The project focuses on empowering NEET young women through digital and employability skills, e-commerce and freelancing pathways, entrepreneurship support, financial inclusion, and community norm change to enable access to decent and sustainable livelihoods in a climate-vulnerable context.

Job Description :

The Life Skill Trainer will be responsible for supporting young women to transition from training into employment, self-employment, freelancing, or income-generating activities. The role focuses on job readiness, job matching, employer engagement, digital livelihood pathways, and follow-up support to ensure sustainable employment outcomes.

The position works closely with participants, employers, training providers, and financial service actors to connect women with real economic opportunities aligned with market demand.

Responsibilities :

1. Employment and Job Placement Support

• Provide one-on-one and group-based employment support to trained participants, including career guidance, job matching, and placement follow-up.

• Support organization of job fairs, recruitment events, employer interviews, and linkages with private sector actors.

• Assist participants with CV preparation, interview readiness, portfolio development, and workplace orientation.

• Track employment outcomes, retention, and income generation results.

2. Livelihoods, Digital, Freelancing, and E-commerce

• Support young women to access digital work opportunities such as freelancing, remote work, and e-commerce.

• Assist participants in navigating online freelancing platforms, digital marketplaces, and basic digital tools required for income generation.

• Coordinate with digital hubs, ICT partners, and trainers to support access to internet, devices, and workspaces where applicable.

3. Entrepreneurship and Financial Inclusion

• Support participants interested in self-employment or small business development through referrals to entrepreneurship training and coaching.

• Facilitate linkages to savings groups, seed funding mechanisms, financial institutions, and relevant government schemes.

• Provide basic guidance on financial literacy, income management, and business start-up requirements in coordination with project trainers.

4. Employer and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build and maintain relationships with local employers, ICT firms, service providers, and business associations.

• Support employer engagement on gender-responsive recruitment practices and safe, inclusive workplaces for women.

• Coordinate with local government offices, youth services, and women’s business networks to expand employment pathways

5. Safeguarding and Quality Assurance

• Ensure employment support activities comply with safeguarding, gender equality, and accountability standards.

• Promote safe, dignified, and voluntary employment opportunities aligned with decent work principles.

• Support feedback and grievance mechanisms for participants.

6. Monitoring, Follow-up, and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of participant employment status, job placements, freelancing activities, and business start-ups.

• Conduct follow-up with employed and self-employed participants to monitor job retention, income progress, and challenges.

• Support data collection and reporting in coordination with MEAL staff, including success stories and case studies.



Job Other Benifits:
    • Gross: Taka 26590/ (Twenty six thousand five hundred ninety)Per Month

    • 2 days weekend

    • Bonus (One month equivalent salary)

    • 5% salary deduction from Basic salary for depositing BTS Staff welfare fund.

    • Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per `Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy` of Breaking the Silence.
