Experience:
Master’s /bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, business, economics, or a related field.
Working experience in the field of digital skills/ecommerce/ free-lancing market will be given priority
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience coordinating development projects, preferably in livelihoods, youth employment, women’s economic empowerment, or digital skills programming.
• Experience working at community level with NGOs, youth groups, women’s groups, and local institutions.
• Strong coordination, planning, and organizational skills.
Core Competencies and Skills:
• Practical understanding of digital skills development, including ICT-based livelihoods.
• Experience or demonstrated knowledge in e-commerce, freelancing, or remote work models for youth and women.
• Familiarity with entrepreneurship development and financial inclusion, including savings groups, seed funding, or linkages to financial institutions.
• Strong communication skills in Bangla; working knowledge of English preferred.

Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 September 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is going to implement a project named ‘’Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE)” at Satkhira districts. The project will be implemented by the support of SCI. BTS is going to recruit a ‘Project Coordinator ’ for the mentioned project the position’s desk office will be in Satkhira District.

Project Overview : The Project Coordinator will support the implementation of the Pathways to Prosperity project in Satkhira District, Bangladesh. The project focuses on empowering NEET young women through digital and employability skills, e-commerce and freelancing pathways, entrepreneurship support, financial inclusion, and community norm change to enable access to decent and sustainable livelihoods in a climate-vulnerable context.
Job Description :
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day field implementation of project activities led by BTS, ensuring alignment with the approved workplan, quality standards, and donor requirements. The role will serve as the main coordination point between BTS field teams, community stakeholders, training providers, employers, and Save the Children, with a strong focus on digital livelihoods, entrepreneurship, and inclusive economic opportunities for young women.
Responsibilities :
Project Implementation and Coordination
a. Coordinate daily implementation of project activities across Satkhira, including digital skills training, freelancing and e-commerce support, entrepreneurship development, job placement services, and community engagement activities.
b. Support planning and delivery of trainings on digital literacy, AI-enabled skills, freelancing platforms, leadership, and life skills.
c. Track progress against workplans and timelines and support timely implementation of all activities.
d. Conduct regular field visits to monitor quality and provide hands-on support to field teams and trainers.Coordinate and supervise the CP intervention by planning, monitoring, and evaluating project activities following IRC grant agreements and quality standards.
Partner, Community, and Stakeholder Engagement
a. Coordinate with government departments, local employers, ICT companies, women’s groups, youth clubs, and financial service providers.
b. Support engagement with families, community leaders, and employers to promote women’s participation in the workforce.
c. Facilitate coordination meetings, job fairs, community dialogues, and youth-led events.
Entrepreneurship & Business Development Support
a. Facilitate business idea generation, screening, and selection of women entrepreneurs.
b. Support development and review of business plans and enterprise growth strategies.
c. Coordinate mentoring, coaching, and peer-support mechanisms for women-led enterprises.
d. Support linkage of women entrepreneurs with markets, suppliers, service providers, and buyers.
e. Support implementation of e-commerce, freelancing, and remote work pathways for young women, including linkages to digital platforms and work hubs.
f. Coordinate entrepreneurship training, business mentoring, and linkages to women-focused business associations and service providers.
g. Support initiatives that increase young women’s access to financial services, seed funding, savings mechanisms, and government financial inclusion schemes.
h. Assist participants in navigating digital tools, online marketplaces, and income-generating platforms.
Monitoring, Reporting, and Documentation
• Support routine data collection and reporting in coordination with MEAL staff, ensuring accurate tracking of outputs and outcomes.
• Compile activity reports, participant records, success stories, and case studies.
• Contribute field-level inputs to quarterly and annual narrative reports submitted to Save the Children.
Quality, Safeguarding, and Accountability
• Ensure activities comply with BTS and Save the Children safeguarding, gender equality, and accountability policies.
• Promote meaningful participation of young women and ensure activities are inclusive and culturally appropriate.
• Support community feedback mechanisms and follow up on issues raised by participants.
Administrative and Operational Support
• Support activity-level budget tracking and coordination with finance staff.
• Assist with logistics, procurement follow-up, and documentation for trainings, workshops, and events.
• Maintain organized project files, attendance lists, and partner documentation.Reporting & Documentation:

o Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergencies, when needed, and any other task assigned by the Supervisor and /or Senior Management of BTS.
Employment Status:
Full-time
Tenure of Services Contract:
3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project’s lifetime.
Gross: Taka 54,166/ (Fifty Four thousand One Hundred Sixty Six) Per Month
2 days weekend
Bonus (One month equivalent salary)
5% salary deduction from Basic salary for depositing BTS Staff welfare fund.
Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per `Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy` of Breaking the Silence.
