Responsibilities & Context:

Responsible for:

• Prepare product and operational costing to support management decisions

• Analyze cost variances and evaluate profitability across products and operations

• Maintain accurate costing sheets, records, and databases

• Support pricing decisions and margin analysis for products and services

• Coordinate with the factory, supply chain, and other departments to collect and validate cost data

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial procedures

Activities:

• Prepare detailed product and operational cost sheets for all items, lines, or services

• Track and analyze cost variances against budgets, forecasts, and standards

• Conduct profitability analysis at product, category, and operational levels.

• Collaborate with production, factory, and supply chain teams to collect accurate cost data

• Support pricing strategy by providing cost inputs and margin analysis

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management review

• Maintain and update costing records, databases, and documentation for audit purposes

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend efficiency improvements

• Monitor raw material, labor, overhead, and operational costs continuously

• Prepare cost projections for new products, expansions, or operational changes

• Provide insights for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning exercises

• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, internal controls, and standard costing procedures

• Support cross-functional teams with ad-hoc cost analysis, feasibility studies, or financial evaluations

• Develop dashboards and visual reports for better understanding of cost structures

• Conduct benchmark studies, competitor cost comparisons, and market cost analysis

• Train or guide junior staff on costing methods, tools, and reporting standards

Skill and Competencies:

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

  Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in costing, finance, or related analytical roles

  Additional Requirements:

• Strong communication skills in English and Bangla

• Experience in cost analysis, pricing, and margin evaluation

• Adaptable to changing priorities and dynamic work environments

• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to meet tight deadlines

• Ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities

• Strong financial modeling and quantitative skills

• Attention to detail with high accuracy in calculations and reporting

• Strong understanding of product costing, operational costing, and standard costing methods

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

• Advanced MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis) and familiarity with ERP/finance systems

• Knowledge of supply chain and production cost drivers
