Education:

• Diploma in Medical Technology / Physiotherapy from a reputed institution.

• Age At most 45 years

• At least 2 years’ experience in the relevant field and working experience in the Rohingya context will add extra value.

• Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner with project stakeholders

• Good written & spoken communication in English and Bengali.

• Excellent in time management and ability to take on multi-tasks.

• Ability to work independently and in a team.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and high levels of cultural sensitivity is highly desirable.

• Team Working, planning and organizing

• Person with disability is encouraged to apply

• Creativity and ability to generate new ideas to improve rehabilitation services

*** Job Description:

• Conduct follow-up therapy sessions under the supervision of Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.

• Monitor patient’s progress and report to the Therapist.

• Train the project participants on the Assistive Device uses and follow up.

• Follow up the Home Modifications & other accessibility features installation.

• Guide Community Mobilizers on home visit (home exercise) of project participants.

• Linkage the project participants in different mainstreaming activities.

• Develop caregiver capacity on home care & home exercise of the persons with disabilities.

• Documentation such as case files and other related information about service delivery.

• Maintain therapy equipment.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.

• Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.

• Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by the supervisor/line manager or CDD management.

• The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.

• CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD’s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.

• The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its former Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.

• CDD is accepting application for the mentioned position under a project named ‘Enhancing Access to Critical Health and Rehabilitation Services for Persons with Disabilities in the Rohingya Camps and Host Communities in Bangladesh’, funded by ASB. The duration of the project is till 31st December 2026.

• The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of this period, his/her employment contract will be renewed accordingly.
