Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of synthetic fibers, polymers.
- Knowledge of chemical properties and testing methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and quality standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for data analysis and report generation).

Responsibilities & Context: The QC Officer/Chemist will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of all raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products through accurate testing and analysis. The role involves daily laboratory operations, maintaining proper documentation, following standard testing methods, and ensuring compliance with company quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough physical, visual, and chemical inspection of all incoming RMPM
- Inspect all Process Materials (PM) including chemicals, pigments, sizing agents, and auxiliaries upon receipt.
- Collect representative samples according to the defined SOP.
- Verify and approve all chemical batches (e.g., dye baths, latex compounds) against the established Standard Recipe before they are released for production.
- Conduct lab tests to ensure chemical parameters like viscosity, pH, concentration, and color strength meet specifications.
- Monitor the preparation of chemical mixes in the production area to ensure adherence to procedures.
- Perform standard laboratory tests on materials, such as: pH, density, viscosity , solid content.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment (e.g., spectrophotometer, pH meter, tensile strength tester).
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspections, tests, and results.
- Prepare the Material Receipt Report (MRR) and issue the final approval or rejection decision.
- Manage the Non-Conforming Material (NCM) process, including tagging, segregation, and reporting.
- Ensure all quality control activities comply with company standards and relevant safety regulations.
Reporting & Communication:
- Report daily/weekly quality metrics to the R&D and QC Head.
- Communicate immediately with the procurement and production departments regarding any material quality issues or non-conformances.
- Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot quality issues related to materials or chemicals.
