Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operations Manager will coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operational activity for the Manufacturing and Assembly facilities with a strong focus on managing the workflow, bookings, quality control and stock control for the organization.
∎ The role will involve working on bikes, supervising staff, organizing rosters and coordinating the daily workflow of staff. The person who fills this position must be highly organized, time-efficient, a good communicator (verbal, phone, written, online) and focused on both the small daily details the long-term goals of the organization.
∎ This position will suit someone who has had extensive experience working in and/or bike manufacturing, local sales and export facility setup and operation.
∎ Essential Requirements: In depth experience on bicycle export business including but not limited to target market, buyer, and market demands.
∎ In depth experience on bicycle manufacturing facilities setups including export compliances.
∎ In depth experience on top quality bicycle production including but not limited to: frame, fork, rim, tire, tube, paint and assembly with not variation on agreed quality
∎ You must be willing to work to tight deadlines, being highly productive while managing other people.
∎ Strong knowledge of the bicycle industry, manufacturing setups machineries, parts, consumables, accessories suppliers etc.
∎ Building and managing your local operations team.
∎ Measuring performance against KPIs to achieve operational targets.
∎ Identifying opportunities for improved efficiency in operations.
∎ Creating and managing a local operations budget.
∎ Building logistics processes to manage spare parts inventories.
∎ Prepare layout for new bicycle manufacturing plant & commissioning.
∎ Liaise with other department managers to implement company objectives.
∎ Understand technical drawings of bicycles and spare parts.
∎ Follow up and liaison with SCM and sourcing partners for imported consignments.
∎ Dealing with spare parts & raw material suppliers for import & supply matters.
∎ Review prepare sample bike BOM and costing as per specification.
∎ Ensure mass production design and secs are as per final submission.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 37 to 52 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Strong planning, communication and organizational skills: daily, proactive, communication, coaching and liaising with both HQ and external parties
∎ Data analysis skills (experience with Excel). Comfortable learning and adapting to new concepts and using new tools
∎ Exposure to warehousing, supply chain and logistics
∎ Experience as a team manager
∎ You must have a strong knowledge of the bicycle industry, parts, consumables, accessories suppliers etc.
∎ Proficiency with 3d CAD & advanced surface modeling software; PTC Creo / ProE / ISDX is strongly preferred
∎ Ability to hit stringent deadlines while managing multiple projects.
