∎ Job Location : BRAC Field Office

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementing sustainable & climate resilient infrastructures and interventions at community and household level following locally-led adaptation plans based on project design and required impact.
∎ Lead the implementation of all approved activities by the LAC such as climate resilient community infrastructure, including WASH, low-cost climate resilient housing, rain water harvesting and renewable energy, etc.
∎ Prepare design, drawings and specifications of resilient WASH/infrastructure technologies & interventions, day-to-day follow-up and identify opportunities/constraints to ensure the smooth implementation.
∎ Ensure quality control of the infrastructure development related works (e.g. budget, estimate, schedule, plans, worker's performance, etc.), report regularly on project status, review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
∎ Assist Project Manager-Operations and LAC in capacity enhancement of urban local government, community and relevant stakeholders on locally-led adaptation, resilient infrastructure development and management.
∎ Support the development and piloting of frameworks, tools and methodologies focusing on improving the sustainability and climate resilience of infrastructure.
∎ Support in preparing technical reports, field operation guideline, documentation and monitoring of project activities.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual progress report.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 03 years of professional experiences for Bachelor Degree holders)/ 05 years of professional experiences for Diploma Degree holders in development sector with NGOs or International Development Organizations including at least 1 year of particular experience in local development/climate change related projects/programmes in urban setting.
∎ Up to date knowledge climate change adaptation, locally-led adaptation, urban resilience, disaster management, environment, resilient infrastructure and intervention.
∎ Climate-resilient drinking water solutions at household and community level.
∎ Policy Analysis and Donor Coordination.
∎ Excellent communication, presentation, organization, negotiation skills problem solving
∎ Skill in documentation, facilitation & reporting.
∎ Strong analytical skills, be gender sensitive, and possess a proven track record of working successfully in a variety of cultural contexts.
∎ Community mobilization, facilitating participatory development process, people management.
∎ Skills to design and implement household and community-based resilient infrastructure and intervention.
∎ Good command over AutoCAD, MS Office & Excel and other design/drawing software.
∎ Financial and progress report preparation skill.
