Experience:
Master’s degree or MBA in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field.
Minimum 10 years in Training & Development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in microfinance sectors is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
Sound knowledge on Microfinance Operation is highly required.
Proficiency in e-learning platforms, MS Office, and data analysis tools.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management abilities.
Strategic thinker with problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.

The Role
You will lead the Training & Development function, designing and implementing learning strategies that align with SDC’s goals. You will be responsible for enhancing facilitator capacity, improving training quality, and fostering a culture of continuous learning across all programs and projects.
You will report to: Executive Director
You will lead: A team of Managers, Team Leaders, Senior Officers, Officers, and Facilitators.
What You will Be Doing:
● Develop and implement the annual training plan and budget in alignment with SDC’s strategic objectives.
● Conduct Training Needs Assessments (TNA), design training modules, and develop learning materials.
● Facilitate high-impact training sessions, workshops, and meetings both internally and externally.
● Soft and hard skill based training design, module finalization and facilitation especially for Microfinance & Finance and accounts Team. Also need based training for others projects staff and support functions unit like, Audit & Monitoring, HR & Admin, IT etc. for skill enhancement and capacity building.
● Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure effectiveness and learner engagement.
● Mentor and develop learning facilitators, identifying and nurturing talent within the team.
● Coordinate with program teams to integrate updated content and methodologies into training delivery.
● Lead capacity-building initiatives, including staff grooming and leadership development programs.
● Prepare and present regular reports on training outcomes, progress, and ROI to senior management.
● Foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes SDC’s values, including gender equality and integrity.
