Experience:
Master’s degree preferably in Social Science, Development studies, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or another relevant subject from any reputed university.
Experience Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in MEAL, including designing and implementing MEAL systems for donor-funded programs. Experience in Education programs is required, along with skills in supporting learning and reporting.
Prior work in Cox’s Bazar or Chittagong will be an added advantage, along with the Chittagongian language.

Technical Expertise, Skills, and Knowledge (Essential):
Strong understanding of MEAL programming in education and emergency contexts.
Knowledge of donor MEAL policies, standards, and best practices.
Excellent skills in MS Excel; knowledge of MS Access, SPSS, Power BI, GIS, or Stata is advantageous.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Excellent report writing and presentation skills in Bangla and English.
Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner using innovative communication methods.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to travel frequently to program areas, including Rohingya camps.

Project Context:
Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement an education project under the name “FIVDB-SCI-DFAT-AHP IV Project” in Rohingya Camps of Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, supported by Save The Children International (SCI). The duration of the project is 11 months (to be extended subject to the provision of project extension afterward). The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Field Office at Ukhiya, with substantial field activities at the mentioned camps and host communities. The job is contractual for the project period with a three (3) months probation period.
The MEAL Officer will be recruited by Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB). Administratively, the position will report to the Project Coordinator for the overall MEAL coordination and management of this project. S/He will assist MEAL budget management, develop and implement monitoring tools, set up and manage CFRM, lead assessments, studies, and evaluations. S/he will ensure effective data collection, analysis, reporting, and knowledge sharing to strengthen project performance and promote sustainable outcomes at both community and institutional levels.

Ensures that FIVDB policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy, including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and FIVDB’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
