Responsibilities & Context:

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

This role will be responsible for implementing context-sensitive strategies, mainly in camp level. In addition, provide direct input on program development in all relevant projects, including GBV response, risk mitigation, Girl Shine, empowerment of women, capacity building and coordination related activities.

  • Provide support to the facilitator for Girl Shine session

  • Train and orients the facilitator of Girl Shine and Girl Shine curriculum

  • Check the Pre-test and -, master roll, daily documentation and reporting of Girl Shine Curriculum

  • Prepare the graduation report, weekly and monthly report for Girl Shine Program

  • Ensure logistics support to the facilitator of Girl Shine Curriculum

  • Supervise and monitor the Girl Shine session conducted in the camps

  • Identify the gaps and opportunities of the Girl Shine Program

  • Monitor, train, supervise and conduct meeting with Girl Shine Star

  • Follow up the activities of Girl Shine Star

  • Oversee and coordinate the operation of the Women and Girls Safe Space (WGSS).

  • Recruit, train volunteer and update database of all the volunteer in the respective zone of responsibility.

  • Operate the Girl Shine Curriculum Program.

Safeguarding:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
