Responsibilities & Context:

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

The Deputy Project Manager will be responsible for project design, implementation, and monitoring, as well as providing technical guidance to the project staff to address challenges and ensure successful project cycle management

  • Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance to the protection sectors, ensuring alignment with BRAC sectorial objectives, Annual work plan and guidelines, protection principles, and protection mainstreaming

  • Ensure that the Community Based protection deliverables and activities are of high quality; adhere to core humanitarian standards, and accountability to affected population

  • Support the development of innovative program ideas and strategies that address the evolving needs of the Rohingya community and host community, particularly integration of protection sectors

  • Ensure the integration of cross-cutting issues such as gender, inclusion, and accountability in program design and interventions

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing donor partners, ensuring transparent communication and regular updates on program progress

  • Document and communicate program successes and challenges to donors and stakeholders, highlighting the program’s impact

  • Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all project-related materials, reports, and communication for audit and reporting purposes

  • Project design specially Community outreach (COMs) and CFM, setting up, outcome & Impact indicators, finalizing activities and target

  • Supervise all outreach activities, CFM desk’s functionality, CAIPP ticket management ensuring they align with the approved project work plan, objectives, and timelines

  • Identify potential risks or challenges to project delivery, develop mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner

  • Ensure all expenditures are in line with the approved budget and financial guidelines, flagging potential issues and implementing corrective measures if needed

Safeguarding:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
