Education:

Bachelor’s in Social Science, Anthropology, Management or any other relevant subject from any UGC approved reputed university or institute

Knowledge:

● Have knowledge on survivor centered case management for gender-based violence

● Have good knowledge of SEA and reporting mechanism

● Patient, persuasive and have the confidence and experience needed to be taken decision timely.

● Needs to understand community dynamics through the community.

● Need enough knowledge to identify high risky case to ensure services timely

● Knowledge on basic Gender issues and GBV Core Concept and Referral pathway

Skills:

● Leadership skills and supervisory experience, including the ability to develop team performance

● Interpersonal Skills: Empathetic and Assertive, Problem-Solving Skills

● Familiarity with principles of monitoring & evaluation.

● Experience in writing brief narrative reports

Responsibilities & Context:

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

The position will be responsible for ensuring survivor-centered case management services to survivors of gender-based violence. The supervisor will supervise and provide support to case workers and will coordinate with other sectors to ensure quality services are provided to individuals seeking GBV services.

  • Assess the case workers on GBV case management skills and design appropriate training topics,

  • Conduct trainings to case workers, volunteers and other stakeholders with pre- and post-test for evaluation and ensure GBV mainstreaming.

  • Closely coaching case workers for the process of capacity development in all facilities.

  • Ensure Supervision of the case worker by maintaining different supervision tools.

  • Provide accurate referrals and ensure adequate follow up of all referred cases.

  • Provide technical support and guidance for the overall case management process to the caseworker.

  • Ensure and submit monthly compile IR and Activity info report to GBVIMS.

  • Submit Client feedback survey after case closing.

  • Represent Program activities to UNHCR, Senior Management, External visitors and GBV Sub Sector.

  • Support and provide guidance to the Caseworker for volunteers’ recruitment process by maintaining the SOP

  • Perform other administrative & logistics tasks like giving work order and taking food order, materials distribution etc.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders including CIC and other NGO’s to enable and develop GBV programming in Camps

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. 

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
