This position will be responsible for the regular performance in driving excavator and maintenance of excavator. Additional responsibilities are to drive vacutugs and other types of vehicles (four-wheeler) which are used in the WASH project and any other task assigned by supervisor.
Safe driving as per country traffic rules and regulations, also regular maintenance of excavator/dumpers/vacutugs by using the mechanical knowledge and experience.
Driving excavator safely and efficiently excavate soil and other materials from different spot determined by supervisor.
Diagnosing and repairing basic faults of vehicles with tools and machinery.
Ensuring efficiency of diesel engine and pump operation.
Cleaning vehicle and ensure its proper and timely servicing and maintenance and perform the daily morning check as per the checklist.
Maintaining logbook, fuel consumption records, maintenance records and other relevant documents in a daily basis and report to supervisor.
Maintaining safety and security of his own and the vehicle as well.
Avoid using of mobile phone during the vehicle driving.
Keeping clean interior and exterior body of the vehicle after returning from field on regular basis.
Keeping all kinds of essential tools and equipment in vehicle for the emergencies as per requirement.
Accept and complete the assignment given by the respective supervisor/ WASH team.
Must work anywhere within the working area as per project requirement.
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
