Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Responsible for developing plans to monitor transportation resources utilization levels and reviewing efficiency of transportation operations.
∎ To supervise a transport operations team, and to work with internal and external stakeholders to implement processes and technology.
∎ To ensure & maintain all Logistics Vehicles & Equipment.
∎ To ensure identification of Vehicles troubles, repairs, routine maintenance and integrated logistics solutions to improve overall transport plan.
∎ To develop methods and techniques to manage time and temperature sensitive cargo.
∎ To develop transport risk management plan to improve process of transport execution.
∎ To monitor the vehicles maintenance, workshop field work, minor & major accidental risk, Keep records/history of drivers and accidents.
∎ To ensure the scheduled maintenance for all vehicles.
∎ To maintain the spare parts stock, verify the major spare parts in GPH Store.
∎ To ensure the creation of Store Requisition & Purchase Requisition.
∎ To ensure and maintain Vehicle wise service register book.To monitor the outer repair work (Lathe workshop, radiator, denting, panting contractual work etc).
∎ To review methods and techniques to better manage hazardous materials (e.g select suitable mechanic team at the time of vehicle entrance time in workshop area).
∎ To monitor & ensure minor & major maintenance report, vehicle documents & record of repair works, processing & checking of monthly tire repair bill, vehicle wise tire issue register, tire volcanizing report.
∎ To ensure preparation of daily workshop report, trouble shooting repair and maintenance of different types of engine and vehicle.
∎ To optimize resource and cost management based on the market practice and business environment.
∎ Ensure that proper inventory of all components of vehicles are maintained and checked frequently.
∎ Maintain logs for distance travelled by each vehicle.
