Responsibilities & Context:
∎ ACI CO-RO is a joint venture between Bangladeshi conglomerate ACI Limited and Danish fruit juice giant, CO-RO A/S Denmark. ACI CO-RO founded with the purpose of bringing refreshment and delight to the consumer through an offering of delicious fruit-based drinks under CO-RO’s brand umbrella.
∎ We are looking for a self-driven and results-oriented assistant manager/manager-QA & microbiology to be the wingman to our Head of Factory, playing a pivotal role in driving brand growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in FMCG food brand management. This position will report to the Head of Factory
∎ Quality Assurance Leadership: The Manager of QA & Microbiology is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and microbiology functions within the juice manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with food safety regulations, maintains product quality standards, and leads a team to monitor and control all quality and microbiological aspects of production. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in quality and food safety. Maintain & Develop WTP & ETP related test method & also maintain the regulatory requirements. Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of quality management systems (QMS) aligned with food safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP ,GLP,ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, BRC,EU, Codex , ISO 22000, 17025).
∎ Microbiological Oversight: Lead microbiology lab operations, ensuring accurate and timely microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished goods, and environmental swabs.
∎ Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with national and international food safety regulations, and coordinate with regulatory authorities during audits and inspections (e.g., BFSA, BSTI & HALAL Authority).
∎ Team Management: Supervise and train QA and microbiology personnel, promoting a culture of food safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
∎ Root Cause Analysis & CAPA: Investigate quality deviations and non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
∎ Supplier Quality Assurance: Evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. Manage incoming raw material quality verification.
∎ Internal Audits & Documentation: Plan and execute internal audits; maintain meticulous documentation of QA and microbiological data for traceability and audit readiness.
∎ Process Validation & Risk Assessment: Participate in process validation, shelf-life studies, risk assessments, and new product development from a food safety standpoint.
∎ Consumer Complaints Handling: Analyze customer complaints related to product quality and microbiological issues and drive effective resolution and feedback loops.
∎ Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, production, procurement, and other departments to uphold quality benchmarks and drive continuous improvement.
