Job Responsibilities:
∎ Match Pantone colors accurately using printed samples and wet samples.
∎ Create and adjust ink formulas for precise color reproduction.
∎ Mix standard colors of ink from the base and concentrate in larger batch sizes.
∎ Fill and label ink containers, ensuring accurate quantities and product information.
∎ Conduct quality control checks on ink batches and make necessary adjustments.
∎ Maintain a comprehensive database for all ink formulas and batches produced.
∎ Manage MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and TDS (Technical Data Sheets) databases for inks and raw materials.
∎ Perform substrate testing to identify appropriate ink recommendations for customers.
∎ Provide expert advice on ink selection for specific applications.
∎ Ensure the safety of the ink lab and production areas.
∎ Implement proper disposal procedures for unused or waste ink.
∎ Comply with all safety and environmental regulations.
∎ Requisition all necessary supplies and equipment for the ink lab and production.
∎ Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries and inventory management.
∎ Work closely with ink raw material suppliers, special effect suppliers, packaging suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.
∎ Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
∎ Ensure proper packaging of inks to prevent spillage or damage during transportation.
∎ Oversee the shipping process to meet delivery deadlines and customer expectations.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Prior experience in ink production, color matching, and quality control
∎ Strong knowledge of Pantone color matching and ink formulation
∎ Proficiency in database management for ink formulas and MSDS/TDS data
∎ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
∎ Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance.
∎ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
∎ Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality inks.
∎ Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment.
