Responsibilities & Context:
SS Group is seeking an experienced and technically competent professional for the position of Production In-Charge to oversee production, plant operation, commissioning, maintenance coordination, and overall factory activities.
The ideal candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering background with strong hands-on experience in Flour Mill, Dal Mill and Clustered Oil/Seed Crushing Mill operations.
Manage day-to-day production and plant operations to achieve production targets, quality and efficiency.
Operate and supervise Flour Mill, Dal Mill and Clustered Oil/Seed Crushing Mill production processes.
Handle plant erection, installation, commissioning, trial runs and production start-up.
Supervise operation of cleaning, milling, sifting, crushing, conveying, elevator, silo and packing systems.
Monitor raw-material receiving, unloading, storage, processing, yield, wastage and finished-product output.
Coordinate preventive, breakdown and condition-based maintenance of production machinery and utilities.
Troubleshoot mechanical and operational problems and minimize machine downtime and production loss.
Prepare and maintain production plans, SOPs, machine checklists and daily production/maintenance reports.
Monitor manpower, machine utilization, production efficiency and operational costs.
Coordinate with Maintenance, QA/QC, Store, Procurement and Logistics teams for uninterrupted production.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, hygiene and factory operating procedures.
Lead and supervise operators, technicians and production workers.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction and capacity optimization.
