Responsibilities & Context:
Mother Vessel Operations:
- Ensure seamless logistics operations at anchorage points.
- Manage port facility logistics efficiently.
- Supervise and oversee operations at lighter jetties to ensure continuity and efficiency.
Lighter Vessel Management:
- Manage and optimize the efficiency of lighter vessel operations.
- Ensure lighter vessels comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Plan and allocate lighter vessels based on cargo volume, type and priorities.
- Supervise repair and maintenance activities to ensure all vessels remain operational.
Transportation Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation strategies involving different modes.
- Coordinate and ensure availability of transportation resources.
- Monitor and oversee transportation operations to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Container and other Cargo Mobilization:
- Facilitate the secure and different movement of container and cargo.
- Ensure the on-time delivery of consignments, including containers and bulk cargo, from port to factory premises.
Technical and Instrumental operation and maintenance:
- Organize and maintain tools, machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Oversee the operation and upkeep of grab equipment used in cargo handling.
- Schedule and monitor routine maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns and ensure operational continuity.
- maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, equipment usage and repairs for improved efficiency and tracking.
