Skills Required:

Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience.

  • At least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

  • Preferably in a hospital or healthcare organization.

  • Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and compliance standards (Bangladesh Labor Act, 2006 and amendments).

  • Expertise in recruitment, selection, onboarding, and talent management.

  • Sound understanding of performance management systems (KPI, PMS, Balanced Scorecard).

  • Knowledge of compensation & benefits, payroll processing, and tax regulations.

  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and counseling skills.

  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and MS Office applications.

  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and decision-making abilities.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards.

  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare organization is strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of HRIS software (e.g., SAP HR, Oracle HCM, or local HRMS) is an advantage.

  • Understanding of healthcare-specific HR challenges (shift management, nurse retention, doctor credentialing, BMDC compliance) is a plus.

  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

  • Strong command over Bengali and English (written and verbal).

Job Description / Responsibilities

1. HR Strategy & Policy Development

• Develop, implement, and review HR policies, procedures, and handbooks in compliance with labor laws and hospital standards.

• Align HR strategies with organizational goals and healthcare industry best practices.

• Advise senior management on strategic HR matters, workforce planning, and organizational development.

2. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

• Manage end-to-end recruitment process including job posting, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer negotiation.

• Coordinate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.

• Maintain a talent pipeline for critical healthcare positions (doctors, nurses, technicians, administrative staff).

3. Employee Relations & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, safety regulations, and hospital policies.

• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in a fair and transparent manner.

• Maintain positive employee relations and promote a healthy, respectful workplace culture.

• Represent the hospital in labor court or labor office matters if required.

4. Performance Management

• Implement and monitor the performance appraisal system (PMS) for all staff.

• Provide guidance to managers on goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement plans (PIPs).

• Link performance outcomes to promotions, bonuses, and career development.

5. Compensation & Benefits

• Manage monthly payroll processing in coordination with the Finance department.

• Administer employee benefits including provident fund, gratuity, health insurance, leave policies, and other allowances.

• Conduct salary benchmarking and recommend competitive compensation structures.

6. Training & Development

• Identify training needs through skill gap analysis and performance reviews.

• Organize and coordinate in-house and external training programs (technical, soft skills, compliance, leadership).

• Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness.

7. HR Operations & Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files (personal data, contracts, attendance, leave, disciplinary records).

• Manage employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, confirmation, promotion, transfer, separation, and exit formalities.

• Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and analytics for management review.

8. Culture & Employee Engagement

• Drive employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and recognition programs.

• Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and implement improvement action plans.

• Promote hospital values, code of conduct, and patient-centered care culture among staff.
