Experience:
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized university.
Registration with the Bangladesh Pharmacy Council (BPC) is mandatory.
M.Pharm or any postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or hospital pharmacy is highly preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in hospital pharmacy or retail pharmacy.
Experience in a multi-specialty hospital pharmacy is strongly preferred.
Experience in hospital pharmacy is strongly preferred over retail only.
Proficiency in English and Bengali for effective patient communication.
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, ERP software) are required.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Strong ethical standards and commitment to patient confidentiality.
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and side effects.
Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations, including inpatient and outpatient dispensing.
Understanding of medication storage, inventory management, and cold chain maintenance.
Knowledge of Bangladesh drug laws, narcotics regulations, and pharmacy ethics.
Proficiency in pharmacy management software or HIS integration is an advantage.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and patient safety focus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient counseling.
Ability to work in shift duties (day, evening, night, weekend) as required.

To strengthen our pharmacy services and ensure safe medication management, we are inviting applications from proactive and dynamic professionals for the following position:
1. Dispensing & Patient Safety
• Dispense prescription medications accurately as prescribed by registered physicians.
• Verify prescription authenticity, dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications before dispensing.
• Provide patient counseling on proper medication usage, dosage instructions, side effects, storage, and precautions.
• Ensure the "Five Rights" of medication safety: Right Patient, Right Drug, Right Dose, Right Route, Right Time.
2. Hospital Pharmacy Operations
• Manage outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) pharmacy counters efficiently.
• Coordinate with nursing stations and doctors for ward medication supply and emergency drug requests.
• Prepare and dispense unit-dose medications, IV fluids, and emergency drugs for different departments (ICU, CCU, Emergency, OT).
• Handle narcotic and controlled drugs as per legal and hospital protocols, maintaining proper registers.
3. Inventory & Stock Management
• Maintain optimal inventory levels of pharmaceutical products to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out).
• Conduct regular stock audits and report discrepancies to the pharmacy manager.
• Manage cold chain medications (vaccines, insulin, biologics) with proper temperature monitoring.
4. Procurement & Supplier Coordination
• Assist in medicine procurement by preparing indent lists, reviewing quotations, and coordinating with suppliers.
• Verify received shipments against purchase orders for quantity, quality, and expiry.
• Maintain proper documentation of all purchase invoices, delivery challans, and credit notes.
5. Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Drug Control Ordinance, narcotics rules, and hospital pharmacy policies.
• Maintain all required pharmacy registers (Schedule H, H1, Narcotics, Controlled Drugs).
• Prepare for and assist during regulatory inspections by the Drug Administration and other authorities.
• Stay updated on new drug regulations, safety alerts, and recalls.
6. Patient Communication & Support
• Answer patient queries regarding medication availability, prices, and generic alternatives.
• Educate patients on adherence to therapy and importance of completing prescribed courses.
• Handle patient complaints or adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and report to the pharmacovigilance system.
7. Coordination & Reporting
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care.
• Report medication errors, near-misses, or adverse events to the pharmacy manager.
• Maintain daily dispensing records, sales reports, and stock movement reports.
• Participate in pharmacy and therapeutics (P&T) committee meetings if required.
8. Cleanliness & Organization
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic pharmacy environment.
• Ensure proper disposal of expired or damaged medications as per regulatory guidelines.
• Keep workstations, shelves, and storage areas neat and labeled correctly.
