Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in HR & Compliance, preferably in the Knit Garments/Sweater Manufacturing Industry.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Act, Labor Rules, and factory compliance.

  • Knowledge of buyer compliance requirements and social audits.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Leadership and team management ability.

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary

Prime Sweater Ltd. is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced Sr. Officer (HR & Compliance) to manage day-to-day HR operations and ensure full compliance with labor laws, buyer requirements, and company policies. The incumbent will play a key role in maintaining employee relations, supporting factory compliance, and ensuring a productive and compliant working environment.

Location: Naibari, Pubail, Gazipur City Corporation, Gazipur.

Workplace: Factory

Key Responsibilities

Human Resource Management

  • Manage recruitment, selection, joining, orientation, confirmation, transfer, promotion, resignation, and separation processes.

  • Prepare appointment letters, confirmation letters, warning letters, show-cause notices, and other HR-related documents.

  • Maintain employee personal files, service books, attendance, leave, and manpower records.

  • Monitor daily attendance, absenteeism, overtime, and leave management.

  • Coordinate payroll-related information with the Accounts/Finance Department.

  • Maintain HRIS/database and prepare monthly HR reports.

  • Conduct employee induction and orientation programs for new employees.

  • Assist in performance appraisal, employee development, and succession planning.

  • Organize employee engagement, welfare, and motivational activities.

Compliance Management

  • Ensure compliance with the Bangladesh Labor Act, Labor Rules, and all applicable legal requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with buyer Codes of Conduct and social compliance standards.

  • Maintain all compliance-related documents, registers, licenses, and certificates.

  • Coordinate internal, buyer, and third-party compliance audits.

  • Prepare corrective action plans (CAP) and ensure timely closure of audit findings.

  • Monitor workplace health and safety practices, fire safety, and environmental compliance.

  • Coordinate with EHS, Security, Production, and Administration departments regarding compliance matters.

  • Conduct compliance awareness and workplace ethics training for employees.

  • Ensure proper implementation of company policies and SOPs.

Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, counseling, and conflict resolution.

  • Maintain healthy industrial relations between workers and management.

  • Conduct domestic inquiries and prepare investigation reports when required.

  • Support the Workers' Participation Committee (WPC), Safety Committee, and other statutory committees.

  • Promote a positive, respectful, and productive work culture.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HR and compliance reports. Maintain confidential HR and compliance records with accuracy.

  • Assist management in preparing presentations, reports, and compliance updates.

  • Ensure proper document control and record retention as per company policy.

General Responsibilities

  • Support factory management in achieving organizational goals.

  • Coordinate with all departments for smooth HR and compliance operations.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
