Master’s in Social science/Disaster management, or any other discipline. Candidates with a Physical Education Degree will be considered.
Year of Experience: 2 years of practical experience in Sport Team management and coaching.
Mandatory Requirements:

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites applications for the position of Technical Officer-YEC & RE for implementing the `Education and Protection for Refugee Community (EPRC) Project` funded by UNHCR, located at Cox`s Bazar District.
Duration: 15 September 2026 to 31 December 2026
Job Location: Ukhiya/Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.
Key areas of responsibility:
C.1.Key area of Performance/Responsibility/Accountability:
a) The S4P Officer will support the preparation and implementation of monthly and activity-based work plans for S4P activities under the guidance of the Technical Officer – S4P & Social Cohesion.
b) She/he will implement approved S4P activities including sports sessions, sports clubs, coaching, friendly matches, competitions, sports events, and other approved sports-based protection activities.
c) She/he will regularly coordinate with existing sports groups, youth groups, players, sports field caretakers, community members, and relevant community structures to ensure smooth implementation of S4P activities.
d) She/he will organize and facilitate sports activities in accordance with approved plans, ensuring proper participant engagement, facilitation, use of sports materials, venue management, and overall quality of implementation.
e) She/he will promote meaningful participation of children, adolescents, youth, girls, persons with disabilities, and other relevant community members in S4P activities through inclusive and protection-sensitive approaches.
f) She/he will support the use of sports as a platform for positive engagement, teamwork, inclusion, life skills, community participation, and protection outcomes.
g) She/he will conduct regular field-level monitoring of sports fields, sports clubs, coaching sessions, matches, competitions, sports events, and related activities and immediately communicate implementation gaps to the Technical Officer.
h) She/he will maintain regular coordination with relevant CBP staff, CIC, Camp Protection Focal Point, UNHCR counterparts, community leaders, youth groups, sports groups, and other relevant stakeholders for effective implementation of S4P activities.
i) She/he will support identification of challenges and operational requirements related to sports activities, including sports materials, equipment, venue, and other necessary resources, and communicate them to the Technical Officer.
j) She/he will maintain proper records of sports activities, participant engagement, team/player information, sports events, coaching, matches, and other relevant programme information.
k) She/he will document good practices, success stories, lessons learned, community feedback, and significant achievements from S4P activities.
l) She/he will participate in relevant training, orientation, planning, review, coordination, and capacity-building sessions and apply the learning in field-level implementation.
m) She/he will ensure that S4P activities uphold the Community-Based Protection approach, including meaningful participation, inclusion, accountability, safeguarding, protection sensitivity, and community ownership.
n) Ensure compliance with PSEAH, Child Safeguarding, Safeguarding, CODEC Code of Conduct, organizational policies, humanitarian principles, confidentiality, and other relevant standards and procedures, and promote their application by concerned staff and volunteers.
o) She/he will perform any other relevant responsibility assigned by the Technical Officer – S4P & SC or CBP Coordinator within the scope of the position.
C:2 Reporting & Documentation
a) Prepare and submit regular weekly, monthly, activity-wise, and other required reports to the Technical Officer – S4P & Social Cohesion within the agreed timeline.
b) Maintain accurate activity records, participant lists, attendance sheets, player/team lists, score sheets, event records, photographs, activity reports, and other required supporting documents.
c) Collect and compile accurate quantitative and qualitative information on sports sessions, coaching, matches, competitions, events, participants, achievements, challenges, and community feedback.
d) Regularly submit KoBo in maintenance of proper accuracy and ensure proper means of verification.
e) Maintain relevant S4P trackers and activity documentation and ensure that information is updated regularly.
f) Document and share success stories, good practices, lessons learned, and significant outcomes from S4P activities.
g) Support the Technical Officer in preparing UNHCR, donor, and internal reports, presentations, success stories, and other required documentation.
C:3 Coordination & Representation:
a) Maintain regular coordination with the Technical Officer – S4P & Social Cohesion regarding activity implementation, progress, challenges, reporting, and follow-up actions.
b) Maintain effective working relationships with CIC, Camp Protection Focal Point, UNHCR counterparts, community leaders, youth groups, sports groups, sports field caretakers, players, and other relevant stakeholders.
c) Coordinate with relevant CBP Technical Officers and field staff to ensure integrated implementation of S4P activities.
d) Coordinate with relevant EPRC CP and GBV teams where complementary support or coordination is required.
e) Attend relevant camp-level, S4P, CBP, technical, coordination, and stakeholder meetings as assigned.
f) Arrange and facilitate sports-related meetings, planning sessions, community consultations, team meetings, sports events, and other activities according to approved plans.
g) Support constructive engagement among community members through sports activities and ensure that S4P provides a safe and inclusive platform for participation.
h) Comply with PSEAH, Child Safeguarding, Safeguarding, CODEC Code of Conduct, organizational policies, humanitarian principles, confidentiality, and other relevant standards and procedures.
Safeguarding and PSEA:
S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)`s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.
Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program`s goals on safeguarding implementation.
