  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in HR and compliance roles, often within Sweaters, Garments manufacturing, textile, or export-oriented environments.

  • Legal Knowledge: Deep familiarity with national labor laws, employment regulations, and factory safety protocols.

  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and floor-handling capabilities.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise HR/payroll software systems (ERP/HRIS)



Responsibilities & Context:

Position: Manager – HR & Administration (Factory)

Location: Gazipur, Bangladesh

Job Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership & Business Partnering

  • Lead the overall HR & Administration function of the factory, ensuring alignment with business objectives, production targets, and organizational priorities.

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to the Factory and senior management on manpower, productivity, employee relations, organizational development, and workforce planning.

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with factory operations and business requirements.

  • Lead HR initiatives related to organizational restructuring, business expansion, process improvement, and change management.

Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment and selection for management, staff, technical, and operational positions.

  • Ensure timely deployment of the right talent in the right roles to support uninterrupted factory operations.

  • Build talent pipelines for critical positions and ensure effective succession planning for key operational and managerial roles.

Performance Management & Productivity

  • Establish and drive an effective performance management system aligned with departmental and factory objectives.

  • Develop and monitor KPIs for management, staff, and operational employees.

  • Promote a performance-driven culture through regular performance reviews, feedback, coaching, and recognition.

  • Analyze manpower productivity, absenteeism, overtime, turnover, and other HR metrics to support management decision-making.

Learning, Development & Capability Building

  • Establish development programs for supervisors, middle management, and future leaders.

  • Develop competency frameworks and career development pathways for critical positions.

Employee Engagement, Retention & Workplace Culture

  • Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, motivation, morale, and retention.

  • Build a positive, professional, ethical, inclusive, and performance-oriented workplace culture.

  • Establish effective grievance-handling and employee communication mechanisms.

HR Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with applicable labor laws, statutory requirements, company policies, and customer/social compliance standards.

  • Maintain readiness for internal, external, customer, social, and compliance audits.

  • Review and strengthen HR policies, procedures, SOPs, and internal controls.

  • Identify HR compliance risks and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

Compensation, Payroll & Benefits

  • Oversee monthly payroll, attendance, overtime, leave, benefits, and employee compensation processes with accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Conduct periodic salary and benefits reviews to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.

  • Monitor manpower costs and provide management with insights to optimize HR-related expenses without compromising employee engagement and operational effectiveness.

Administration, Welfare & Workplace Support

  • Oversee factory administration, employee welfare, facilities, transportation, accommodation, canteen, security coordination, and other employee support services, where applicable.

  • Ensure a safe, disciplined, clean, and employee-friendly working environment in coordination with relevant departments.

  • Monitor welfare facilities and take timely action to address employee needs and workplace concerns..
