Responsibilities & Context:

1. Ensure compliance with applicable fire safety laws, Bangladesh Labour Act & Rules, buyer requirements, international standards, and company policies.

2. Conduct regular fire safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.

3. Develop, implement, and monitor fire prevention, emergency response, and evacuation programs, including regular fire drills and emergency preparedness activities.

4. Oversee the inspection, maintenance, testing, and certification of all fire protection systems and firefighting equipment to ensure operational readiness.

5. Investigate fire incidents, near misses, and safety violations, prepare investigation reports, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.

6. Maintain all fire safety documentation, statutory records, permits, inspection reports, training records, and compliance reports, and coordinate buyer, government, and third-party audits.

7. Organize fire safety training and awareness programs for employees, Emergency Response Team (ERT), fire wardens, and other relevant personnel.

8. Monitor the implementation and timely closure of corrective action plans (CAPs) arising from audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.

9. Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, HR, Administration, Production, and other departments to ensure effective implementation of fire safety and compliance requirements.

10. Assist management in developing fire safety policies, SOPs, emergency response plans, periodic safety reports, and initiatives that promote a strong safety culture across the organization.
