Responsibilities & Context:

1.Lead and manage the Industrial Engineering (IE) department to achieve production efficiency targets.
2. Develop operation bulletins, conduct time and motion studies to establish Standard Minute Values (SMV) for garment operations.
3.Calculate production capacity and prepare manpower planning based on production requirements.
4. Develop and implement a Quick Changeover strategy to minimize style changeover time.
5. Ensure all pre-production activities (PP meeting, operation bulletin, machine layout, attachments, trims, and work aids) are completed before the changeover.
6. Conduct capacity and manpower planning for new styles to ensure smooth line startup.
7. Develop and monitor line balancing to maximize efficiency and minimize bottlenecks.
8. Monitor first-hour, first-day, and first-shift efficiency after changeover and implement corrective actions.
9. Analyze production performance, identify productivity losses, and implement improvement initiatives.
10. Monitor Hourly & Daily line efficiency, operator performance, and machine utilization.
11. Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Quality, Planning, and Maintenance departments to ensure smooth production flow.
12. Implement lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and continuous improvement programs.
13. Conduct capacity studies and recommend improvements in production methods.
14. Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, absenteeism, DHU (Defects per Hundred Units), and productivity.
15. Train and develop IE officers, supervisors, and production teams on best practices.
16. Review production reports and present productivity analysis to senior management.
17. Ensure compliance with company policies, buyer requirements, and workplace safety standards.
18. Drive automation and digitalization initiatives where applicable.
19. Prepare monthly and yearly productivity improvement reports and action plans.
20. Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
