Responsibilities & Context:
Sewing Responsibilities
Operate and set up industrial sewing machines and specialized stitching equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and basic mechanical adjustments like changing needles or loopers.
Diagnose machine errors or thread tensions to minimize line downtime.
Follow production patterns and technical work orders accurately. [1, 2, 3, 5]
Quality Responsibilities
Conduct in-line inspections and random checks on stitched garments to catch defects early.
Verify product measurements against approved buyer specification sheets.
Mark and log defects (such as skipped stitches or puckering) to notify floor supervisors.
Enforce safety rules like the broken needle policy and proper material handling.
