Responsibilities & Context:

Department: Human Resources
Reports To: COO
Why This Role: This isn't a role where you maintain someone else's HR system. You're building it:

  • Real ownership — you'll own the entire HR function for a workforce of ~100, not just one slice of it.

  • Rare exposure — a rare, ground-up view into how a private equity fund builds its people function as it scales.

  • Visibility that matters — this is a small, growing team, so your work goes straight to leadership, not lost in layers of hierarchy.

  • Room to grow — as mCapital grows further from its starting 100 employees, the HR function — and your role in it — grows with it.

  • About mCapital: mCapital Ltd. is a private equity fund operating in the financial and real sector space. We work with businesses and investors to structure, finance, and grow real array ventures across a range of sectors, combining disciplined investment analysis with hands-on portfolio support.
As the firm grows to a team of approximately 100 employees, we're looking for a dedicated HR professional to build and run our HR operations end-to-end.

What You'll Own

  • Employee Documentation & Records

    • Draft and maintain employee documentation: offer letters, appointment letters, confirmation letters, contracts, experience/relieving letters, etc.

    • Maintain accurate, confidential personnel files for all employees (physical and digital)

    • Set up and maintain the employee database / HRIS

  • Attendance & Leave Management

    • Track daily attendance and maintain leave records (casual, sick, earned, etc.)

    • Apply and communicate leave policy consistently across the organization

    • Provide attendance and leave data to payroll for salary processing

  • Recruitment & Onboarding

    • Support recruitment: job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, offer rollout

    • Conduct onboarding and induction for new joiners

    • Ensure joining formalities and documentation are completed on time

  • Employee Communication & Relations

    • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries on HR policies, leave, and benefits

    • Communicate HR policies, updates, and circulars to all staff

    • Support resolution of employee concerns, escalating where needed

  • Exit Management

    • Process resignations, conduct exit interviews, and manage full-and-final settlement documentation

    • Coordinate offboarding, handover, and clearance formalities

  • Compliance & Policy

    • Ensure HR practices comply with applicable labor laws and statutory requirements

    • Support development and rollout of HR policies and the employee handbook

    • Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee data at all times

  • HR Reporting

    • Prepare periodic HR reports/MIS for management (headcount, attrition, leave trends, etc.)

    • Prepare a set of HR reports for employee’s attendance pattern, work efficiencies. and report to the management.
