Education:

• Bachelor/Honors

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related Engineering.Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in sewing machine maintenance in a large-scale garments manufacturing industry.Strong practical knowledge of industrial sewing machines, such as Juki, Brother, Pegasus, Kansai Special, Yamato, Siruba or equivalent brands.Good knowledge of sewing machine mechanisms, motors, sensors, control boards, servo motors and pneumatic systems.Experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and breakdown analysis.Good knowledge of spare-parts management and maintenance planning.Experience in supervising and developing maintenance technicians/mechanics.Good computer skills, particularly MS Excel and maintenance reporting systems.Strong problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.

Candidates with hands-on experience in a large garment manufacturing factory and exposure to modern computerized APW Mcs, Seam Sealing Mcs Autoloop Mcs, Pocket Facing Mcs , Flat Seamer Mcs, Pattern sewer Mcs, Eyelet hole Mcs sewing machines, automation, servo systems and production-line layout & maintenance will receive preference.

Responsibilities & Context:

We are looking for a competent and hands-on experienced Sewing Machine Maintenance Manager to lead and manage the maintenance activities of industrial sewing machines and related equipment in a large-scale garment manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high machine availability, minimizing breakdown time, improving machine performance, and maintaining an effective preventive maintenance system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day maintenance activities of industrial sewing machines and related equipment.

• Lead and supervise sewing machine mechanics and technicians.

• Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum breakdown/downtime.

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, electronic and pneumatic problems.

• Maintain servicing, repair, breakdown and preventive maintenance records.

• Analyze machine breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Monitor machine condition and recommend replacement or major overhauling when required.

• Coordinate with Production, IE, QA and other Engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted production.

• Prepare machine availability, breakdown and maintenance performance reports.

• Manage spare parts, tools and maintenance inventory.

• Review spare-parts consumption and ensure optimum stock levels.

• Arrange servicing and maintenance of sewing machine motors, control systems and associated equipment.

• Support installation, commissioning and relocation of new and existing sewing machines.

• Train and develop sewing machine mechanics and technicians.

• Ensure proper maintenance practices, safety procedures and housekeeping within the maintenance area.

• Participate in engineering meetings and contribute to productivity, cost-reduction and machine-efficiency improvement initiatives.
