We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven General Manager – Production to lead the complete production operations of our woven & knit garments manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process—from Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, Packing, to Shipment—ensuring on-time delivery, superior product quality, optimum productivity, cost efficiency, and full compliance with buyer requirements.
Capacity Forecasting: Analyze factory capacity (machine and manpower) against order projections to ensure maximum utilization.
Order Allocation: Strategically allocate styles to specific sewing lines based on product complexity and operator skill levels.
TNA Management: Monitor the Time & Action (TNA) calendar for every order and ensure cutting, sewing, finishing, and shipment milestones are achieved on schedule.
Resource Planning: Review and approve requirements for machinery, folders, attachments, and specialized equipment before bulk production commencement.
Line Balancing: Lead Industrial Engineering (IE) teams to optimize line layouts, improve efficiency, and eliminate production bottlenecks.
AQL Standards: Ensure all production lines consistently meet the required Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) standards.
Zero-Defect Culture: Implement and drive "Right First Time" (RFT) quality practices to minimize defects, rework, and rejection rates.
Production Monitoring: Closely monitor daily production performance, efficiency, absenteeism, and achievement against targets.
Compliance Management: Maintain a factory environment that complies with international social, ethical, and safety standards such as WRAP, BSCI, SEDEX, and buyer-specific requirements.
Cost Control: Work collaboratively with Merchandising, IE, and Finance teams to optimize production costs without compromising quality or delivery.
CMT Analysis: Support the merchandising team by providing accurate Cut, Make & Trim (CMT) costing information and production feasibility assessments.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop production managers, line supervisors, and supporting teams to achieve organizational goals.
Continuous Improvement: Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, productivity enhancement programs, and process improvements across all production departments.
Cut-to-Ship Ratio: Maintain a ratio as close to 1:1 as possible.
DHU (Defects per Hundred Units): Achieve continuous reduction through proactive quality management.
Production Efficiency: Meet or exceed targeted line and factory efficiency levels.
On-Time Shipment: Ensure 100% shipment performance according to buyer requirements.
Quality Performance: Minimize alterations, rework, and customer claims.
Resource Utilization: Achieve optimum utilization of manpower and machinery.
Compliance Standards: Maintain full compliance with all social, safety, and environmental requirements.
