Responsibilities & Context:
  • Monitor production output and ensure timely delivery of printed garments/fabrics.

  • Ensure proper setup of machines, screens, color, and print layout before starting production.

  • Check print quality during production to ensure it meets buyer specifications.

  • Identify defects and take immediate corrective action.

  • Support the QA team during inline and final inspections.

  • Supervise screen printing operators, helpers, and support staff.

  • Provide on-the-job guidance and ensure discipline and productivity across shifts.

  • Assist with screen preparation, color mixing, and machine troubleshooting.

  • Coordinate with maintenance for minor breakdowns or preventive care of equipment.

  • Monitor daily usage of color, screens, and chemicals; avoid excess consumption.

  • Report material shortages or issues to the Manager or Store Department.

  • Ensure the team follows safety protocols (PPE, chemical handling, machine safety).

  • Prepare daily production and rejection reports.

  • Share shift handover notes and operational updates with the Manager.

  • Liaise with departments like screen making, quality, and planning to maintain workflow.

  • Support sample development when required by the merchandising or R&D team.

  • Execute the daily and weekly production plan as assigned by the Manager

  • Ensure execution of orders as per production schedules and quality standards.

  • Track rejections, efficiency, and machine utilization rates annually.

  • Collaborate with QA team to set yearly quality improvement goals.

Ensure consistent implementation of AQL standards

  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to address any recurring technical issues.

  • Review monthly consumption of screens, mesh, emulsions, squeegees, colors, etc.

  • Raise material requisition plans based on upcoming orders.

  • Ensure monthly stock reconciliation with the store/warehouse team.
