Overview

YIK YUE (H.K.) COMMERCIAL LIMITED is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Officer to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will monitor and elevate garment quality across the entire production lifecycle, work closely with external vendors, and ensure products meet high standards. This position is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in knit and woven garments, strong knowledge of garment construction, and proven experience in factory quality control in an international sourcing environment.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance & Standards: Drive and maintain strict quality standards across all stages of product development and bulk production.

• Inspections & Audits: Conduct and evaluate in-line, mid-line, final, and pre-shipment inspections in accordance with standard AQL criteria.

• Factory Evaluation: Assess the factory's Quality Management System (QMS), production workflows, and quality procedures to identify operational risks.

• Root Cause Analysis: Identify quality non-conformances, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) with suppliers.

• Technical Review: Review workmanship, measurements, construction, fabrics, trims, labeling, and packaging against approved tech packs and counter samples.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary technical liaison between overseas HQ, internal merchandising teams, suppliers, and manufacturing units.

• Travel & Site Visits: Perform routine factory visits and quality audits (locally and internationally) to monitor vendor performance and lead times.

• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Maintain QA documentation, issue inspection reports, track recurring defect trends, and present performance analytics to HQ management.

• Technical Guidance: Provide hands-on technical support and training to factory QA/QC personnel to prevent recurring quality failures.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Textile, Fashion/Garment Technology, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in garment QA/QC within a trading, sourcing, or buying office (with at least 2 years in a senior capacity).

• Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of both Knit and Woven fabrics, garment construction, fitting, wet processing/washings, and trim testing.

• Standards & Compliance: Solid hands-on experience with AQL sampling standards (e.g., AQL 2.5 / 4.0), fabric defect grading (4-point system), and international physical/chemical test requirements (AATCC, ISO, REACH).
