Responsibilities & Context:

We are looking for a dynamic, visionary, and technical leader to head our Washing R&D department. The AGM – R&D will be responsible for driving innovations in garment washing, sustainable finishing, and seasonal collection developments for top-tier global fashion brands like Zara, American Eagle, and other premier denim/non-denim buyers.
Job Responsibilities

• R&D Leadership & Innovation: Lead washing R&D operations to innovate new wash recipes, trendy finishes, and seasonal developments in line with global buyer trends.

• Lab to Bulk Scaling: Conduct lab-scale trials, establish standardized recipes, and seamlessly scale them up to bulk production while maintaining consistent quality.

• Buyer Collaboration & Approvals: Work closely with international buyer technical teams, merchandising, and production departments to secure timely shade and sample approvals.

• Sustainability & Cost Optimization: Optimize the usage of enzymes, washing chemicals, and water/energy consumption to achieve cost efficiency and meet global sustainability standards.

• Quality & Performance: Ensure strict adherence to shade consistency, target hand-feel, fabric strength, and overall garment performance standards.

• Bulk Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot bulk production wash defects/variations promptly to minimize re-work and guarantee on-time shipment.

• Team Management: Mentor, supervise, and guide the lab technicians and production wash teams to maintain high technical standards.
