Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and execute HR strategies that support the overall business objectives of EWBD and ensure alignment with the Group HR strategy.
∎ Collaborate with the Country Manager and Group HR Business Partner to design and implement HR policies and practices that reflect the unique challenges and opportunities of the Bangladesh market.
∎ Develop and implement a robust Business Continuity Plan (BCP) in collaboration with the Group HR and Country Manager to ensure the succession plan for all critical positions.
∎ Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes to attract and retain top talent aligned with EWS’s strategic objectives, including workforce planning, sourcing, selection, and onboarding.
∎ Design and implement talent development programs, including training, coaching, and leadership development, to build a pipeline of future leaders.
∎ Conduct regular talent reviews and succession planning sessions in conjunction with the Group HR to identify high-potential employees and address skill gaps.
∎ Develop and maintain relationships with external recruitment partners and agencies to support staffing needs, especially in hard-to-fill roles.
∎ Promote a positive and inclusive organizational culture that aligns with EWS values and supports employee engagement, productivity, and retention.
∎ Work closely with the Country Manager and Group HR to conduct regular organizational assessments and implement action plans to enhance employee satisfaction and performance.
∎ Act as a culture ambassador, driving initiatives to improve team collaboration, ownership, and accountability.
∎ Develop and execute strategic workforce plans to align human capital requirements with the business's short- and long-term objectives.
∎ Collaborate with the Group HR Business Partner to align workforce planning efforts with regional and global HR strategies.
∎ Lead initiatives to upskill the workforce, ensuring the organization is agile and capable of meeting future challenges.
∎ Partner with Group HR, Finance and other functions to develop and manage the annual HR budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business priorities.
∎ Work closely with the Group HR Business Partner to align local HR budgetary planning with Group-level financial strategies.
∎ Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances, ensuring fair treatment and compliance with local labor laws. All serious grievance and compliance issues to be escalated to the Group.
∎ Implement group performance management processes that foster a high-performance culture and align with business goals.
∎ Support managers and employees in setting clear, measurable objectives, conducting performance appraisals, and providing constructive feedback.
∎ Serve as a trusted advisor to the Country Manager and leadership team on all matters related to employee engagement and motivation.
∎ Develop and implement a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy that includes competitive compensation, benefits, recognition programs, and non-monetary rewards to attract, retain, and motivate talent.
∎ Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to ensure EWS Bangladesh’s compensation and benefits packages are competitive and aligned with both local and regional standards.
∎ Collaborate with the Group HR and Group Rewards to design and manage compensation structures, salary reviews, bonus schemes, and incentive programs that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
∎ Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, ensuring compliance with local laws and alignment with the company’s policies.
∎ Ensure all HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with Bangladesh labor laws and EWS Group HR policies.
∎ Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
∎ Stay abreast of changes in labor laws and regulations to minimize legal risks and ensure compliance.
∎ Accuracy and Timeliness of HRIS data in D365 and all reporting tools
∎ Oversee HR operations, including payroll, leave management, and employee lifecycle processes.
∎ Provide regular HR reports and updates to the Country Manager and Group HR Business Partner, highlighting key HR metrics, trends, and challenges.
∎ Ensure effective communication and coordination between the Bangladesh HR team and the Group HR to maintain consistency and alignment with global HR strategies.
∎ Participate in regional HR meetings and initiatives, contributing insights and feedback based on the Bangladesh context.
∎ Serve as the primary liaison with building management for office maintenance, security, and facility-related issues.
∎ Ensure the office environment is safe, functional, and conducive to productivity.
∎ Oversee the management of company vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
∎ Coordinate with drivers and logistics teams for effective fleet utilization.
∎ Coordinate with external travel agencies for domestic and international travel arrangements.
∎ Facilitate visa processing and travel documentation for employees and visitors.
∎ Cross-Functional Project Coordination
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful
