Plans and evaluates PD trials (on station) and and organizes key farmers’ field trials with the PD Technical Field Assistants/MDOs/TSOs. Effectively allocation of daily farm labour, ensuring on time farm activities including all agronomic practices and resource management. Based on a yearly planned trial program; conduct all farm trials (RYT, PDS1/2, Staggering and Performance trials) timely, collect and record data and share reports in time to support the Country business.
Key roles and responsibility:
Plans and evaluates PD trials (on station) and and organizes key farmers’ field trials with the PD Technical Field Assistants/MDOs/TSOs.
Collects trial results and data (real-time through Phenome) and consolidates into trial reports and shares it in time with the different stakeholders.
Refines the product positioning for launching varieties and defines the key buying factors.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the changing market trends and grower needs and a high level knowledge regarding the competitors’ key varieties.
Plans the NPI (New Product Introduction) varieties, trial seeds allocation and key trait evaluation for the pre-commercial trials and plans with the Marketing Team for demonstration trials.
Gives technical support to key producers, leverages technical knowledge to the sales team to prepare sales arguments and after sales support.
Provides investigation support for customer complaints.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS/ACCOUNTABILITY:
Contribute regional requirements to steer the development of a winning portfolio and pipeline for the Country.
Plan and evaluate with sales & marketing teams pre-commercial trials and coordinate trial seed availability to ensure a timely trial set-up.
Through pre-commercial trials, drive assessment of NPI candidates with sales & marketing teams and manage pre-commercial field trials with PDOs/MDOs/TSOs.
Positions the new products (segmentation, technical / commercial positioning) and coordinates the NPIs.
Support sales force and demand creators by providing market trends, product and price positioning and technical expertise for customer complaints.
Plans and manages pre-commercial trials to refine product positioning and plan for successful new product introductions (NPI’s).
