Education:
    • Master of Science (MSc) in Human Resource Management
    • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Human Resource Management
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in any discipline but Human Resources Management (HRM) is preferable, Business Administration (BBA/MBA), or PGDHRM

  • Preference for certifications like SHRM, CIPD, HRCI, or compliance credentials

Skills Required:

Additional Requirements:
  • 15–20 years of progressive experience in HR & Administration within garments/RMG/textile sectors in Bangladesh is a MUST.

  • Minimum 5 years at senior leadership level (Head of HR, Group HR, GM-HR).

  • Proven track record in buyer compliance (Dealing Primark as a buyer is specially preferable), labor law execution, and multi-site operations.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP/HRIS implementations and digital HR transformations.

  • Strategic leadership and organizational development.

  • Deep knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law, EPZ rules, and buyer code standards.

  • Skilled in industrial relations, labor negotiations, and diplomacy.

  • Fluent in English and Bengali, with superior written and verbal communication.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • High levels of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.



Responsibilities & Context:

One of the fastest-growing and diversified business groups in Bangladesh, with successful operations in Ready-Made Garments (RMG), Textiles, Consumer Products, and Retail, is seeking a dynamic and visionary General Manager – HR & Admin to join its top executive team. The candidate will lead the group’s HR & Admin strategy, enhance operational efficiency, and play a pivotal role in sustaining and accelerating growth across multiple business verticals.

Industry Context

Company Type: Large-scale export-oriented conglomerate in garments, textile, RMG, and composite manufacturing.

Location: Mainly in Narayanganj EPZ, Dhaka (Head Office) with responsibilities covering factory operations in Chittgong as well.

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Chairman/Managing Director, the Head of HR & Administration will lead strategic HR planning, compliance, and administrative efficiency across multi-site operations. This role will bring high-performance culture, foster buyer relationships (Primark, H&M, Walmart, etc.), ensure labor law adherence, and drive continuous improvement in employee experience and workplace governance.

Responsibilities:

Strategic HR & Organizational Leadership

  • Formulate and execute group-wide HR strategy aligned with business objectives

  • Conduct manpower planning, structure optimization, and transformation initiatives

  • Promote employer branding and talent acquisition strategies

  • Talent Management & Development

  • Oversee recruitment, retention, and performance management

  • Implement KPI-based appraisal systems and succession planning

  • Develop training programs focused on compliance, leadership, and technical skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Design and manage C&B frameworks in line with Bangladesh Labor Law, Wage Board, and EPZ rules

  • Administer payroll, PF, gratuity, provident funds, performance incentives, and benefits

Compliance & Industrial Relations

  • Ensure full compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law (2006, amended 2018), Factory Act, and EPZ regulations

  • Lead buyer social compliance frameworks (BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, ACCORD, ALLIANCE)

  • Manage employee relations, grievance redressal, union interactions, and disciplinary actions

Administration & Operations

  • Oversee security, transport, canteen, facility management, and HSE protocols

  • Ensure efficient administrative processes at headquarters and production sites

  • Lead ERP/HRIS implementation for performance, attendance, digital records, and analytics

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Prepare regular HR & admin dashboards and reports for executives and board members

  • Interface with government agencies, legal advisors, buyers, and vendors

  • Support CSR and ESG initiatives as per corporate and buyer requirements
