Position: Electrical Manager
Department: Engineering / Maintenance
Reports To: DGM / Head of Engineering / Factory Management
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
2. Plan and implement preventive and corrective electrical maintenance to minimize breakdowns and production downtime.
3. Supervise HT/LT panels, transformers, generators, substations, MCC/PCC panels, power distribution systems, and other electrical utilities.
4. Monitor electricity consumption and implement effective energy-saving and cost-reduction initiatives.
5. Ensure proper electrical installation, cable management, earthing, lightning protection, and power distribution.
6. Lead and supervise electrical engineers, technicians, electricians, and contractors.
7. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, including LOTO, PPE, earthing, and fire-safety requirements.
8. Manage new electrical installation, machine commissioning, factory expansion, and electrical development projects.
9. Review electrical drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and contractor performance.
10. Maintain adequate stock of critical electrical spare parts and control maintenance material costs.
11. Maintain proper records of preventive maintenance, breakdowns, inspections, energy consumption, and equipment history.
12. Prepare regular electrical maintenance, energy, cost, and KPI reports for management.
13. Ensure quick and effective response to electrical emergencies and major breakdowns.
14. Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Procurement, HR & Admin, and other departments for smooth factory operations.
15. Continuously identify opportunities for improvement, automation, energy efficiency, and electrical system reliability.
