Experience:
10 Years working experiences (at least 5 years relevant experience in DRR project operational coordination and management)
Demonstrated capacity in project management with conceptual understanding
Team building capacity
Strong critical and analytical thinking capabilities
Written and oral communications skills in English and Bengali
Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Respect on gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, code of conduct and cultural diversity
Committed on response in any humanitarian emergency if necessary
Able to drive a motorbike with valid motorbike driving license
Able to operate virtual platform like Skype/Zoom/Team etc.
Lead the project implementation process of the project with detailed operational planning, management and coordination.
Capacity strengthening and technical support to disaster management committees at District, Upazila, Union and Ward level.
Support and follow up to ensure the project events e.g. inception meeting with DMCs, DRR awareness session, training session, CPP meetings etc.
Necessary & effective coordination with GO, LGI, NGOs, Donors and other relevant stakeholders. Attend Upazila/district coordination meetings, departmental meeting, sectors meeting and other networking meetings under this project.
Facilitate to prepare household level disaster preparedness plan
Coordinate to conduct simulation exercise in targeted area, meeting with cyclone shelter management committee and planning for readiness, organize disaster volunteers.
Facilitate and support on Hazard & Risk assessment of existing institutional capacities to ensure centralized multi-hazard disaster preparedness.
Coordinate and organize World Environment Day/ IDDR Observance at Upazila & Union Level.
Time to time take approval of plan, line-items budget breakdown, schedule, methods, TOR etc. for conducting any events from donor focal and internal program focal.
Ensure the project operational plan & implementation at ward, union and Upazila level.
Follow up the project financial complains and review the expenditures for necessary approval.
Regular field visit, guide, supervise and provide technical support to project staff.
Facilitate to organize training, monthly meetings, CP meeting, need base meetings and review meetings etc. of the project.
Applies the M&E Framework of the project to support comprehensive and quality monitoring of the project performance at all levels following results framework.
Prepare and follow up for all the relevant reporting and submit to the focal person of respective donor within time frame following the format or guideline.
