∎ JOB PURPOSE: BRAC is a lead implementing partner of the Global Affairs Canada funded "Improving Skills and Economic Opportunities for the Bangladeshi Community and Rohingya Women Youths in Cox`s Bazar", which seeks to identify strategies to address livelihood challenges of both host communities and Rohingya refugees in Cox`s Bazar district and Bhashanchar, with a particular focus on challenges faced by women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups while contributing to alleviate tensions between both communities. The project will work with multi-level stakeholders to deliver the skills and livelihood development programmes and bring about necessary systems change.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure the effective planning, monitoring, reporting and competence for the implementation of host communities-based project interventions to meet established programmatic and financial targets and timeframes in collaboration with the Project Lead.
∎ Ensure coordination among all consortium partners and local implementation partners to facilitate synergy of efforts for the achievement of project's result.
∎ Oversee the coordinated planning (of activities and resources) and implementation of the programme and programme operations in line with project strategies, technical standards, and applicable rules and regulations of the donor and consortium lead.
∎ Manage donor contract management and compliance, and provide support to all support functions (including inclusion, knowledge management, and technology, M&E).
∎ Conduct regular monitoring and supervision of project activities, resources and identify improvement areas to ensure quality delivery of project.
∎ Identify issues and risks related to project implementation in a timely manner, and suggest appropriate programme adjustments.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Strong background in project implementation especially in Cox's Bazar context, both host and camp.
∎ Sound knowledge and background in skills related projects.
∎ Prior work experience in and/ or with donor agencies and UN organisations, especially GAC, ILO and UNHCR will add value.
∎ Strong communication skills in both English and Bangla.
∎ Ability to travel to HO and project locations on a frequent basis.
∎ Ready to join and start working as per requirement of the project.
∎ Minimum 06 years of work experience in programme management or project management, working in complex and emergencies and in challenging work environments is preferred.
