Responsibilities & Context:
Oversee day-to-day operation and preventive/corrective maintenance of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) across private and industrial sites.
Ensure continuous, safe and compliant operation of STP facilities, equipment and processes.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules, checklists, SOPs and preventive maintenance plans.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and process-related maintenance issues and minimize downtime.
Manage spare parts, consumables and equipment inventory, including procurement and timely replenishment.
Manage AMC contracts, including pricing, renewal, service delivery and client expectations.
Coordinate emergency support, breakdown maintenance and desludging operations when required.
Prepare maintenance reports, track breakdowns/resolutions and provide regular updates to management.
Monitor O&M and maintenance budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities and support budget planning.
Coordinate with clients, internal teams, contractors and vendors to ensure smooth service delivery.
Support business development activities, including client visits, proposals, presentations, pricing discussions and new O&M opportunities.
Support project implementation, commissioning and handover of new STP projects to the O&M team.
Context:
The position is responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) projects across private and industrial sectors. The role involves ensuring uninterrupted and compliant plant operation, leading preventive and corrective maintenance, managing AMC and client relationships, controlling maintenance costs and coordinating technical teams, vendors and contractors. The position will also support emergency services, business development and the smooth transition of newly commissioned STP projects to the O&M team.
