Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) is mandatory.
Preference will be given to graduates from BUET, SUST, RUET, KUET, or equivalent recognized institutions.
Proven experience in Lean implementation, productivity improvement, SMV analysis, and manpower optimization.
Candidates with previous leadership experience in IE functions will be given preference.
Strong proficiency in IE tools and techniques (Time & Motion Study, SMV, VSM, Line Balancing).
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and TPM.
Skilled in Excel, Power BI, and data-driven decision-making tools.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

A reputed export-oriented garment manufacturing group is looking for a dynamic and technically proficient Deputy Manager/Manager – Industrial Engineering (IE) to strengthen its operations. The position plays a key role in improving productivity, optimizing processes, and driving Lean and Smart IE practices across woven and knit production units.
Lead the Industrial Engineering team to develop, implement, and sustain efficient production systems across garment manufacturing operations.
Conduct time study, method study, and Standard Minute Value (SMV) development to optimize manpower utilization and improve overall line efficiency.
Analyze and decode cost drivers in production to identify opportunities for resource and cost optimization using Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), workload balancing, and motion economy techniques.
Develop and maintain operation bulletins, ensuring accurate SMV implementation and process standardization.
Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to integrate Lean-Agile methodologies such as Kanban, modular layouts, and Kaizen for continuous improvement.
Conduct process audits, bottleneck analyses, and line balancing to ensure smooth workflow and timely order execution.
Utilize digital and analytical tools (Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, Chat GPT, Microsoft Copilot, AI assistants, etc.) for production modeling, manpower forecasting, and KPI tracking.
Coach and develop IE team members on work measurement techniques (PMTS/Stopwatch) and Lean methodologies.
Monitor and report on key KPIs such as efficiency, cost per SMV, productivity, and thread consumption, recommending practical improvement strategies.
Support the development of operator incentive schemes based on SOPs and productivity benchmarks.
Ensure compliance with ethical labor standards, safety practices, sustainability targets, and buyer audit requirements.
Lead cross-functional projects for new style introduction, changeover optimization, and capacity planning across product lines.
