Responsibilities & Context:
Oversees the fabric or material cutting department in manufacturing. Ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely cutting of components.
Plan, monitor, and execute cutting schedules based on production orders and shipment deadlines.
Optimize marker planning to improve marker efficiency and reduce fabric waste.
Ensure cut components meet design specifications, conducting regular inspections to ensure accuracy.
Supervise cutting room staff, manage cutting machine maintenance, and oversee processes like fabric relaxation and spreading.
Collaborate with CAD, merchandising, planning, and sewing departments to ensure smooth workflow and accurate line feeding.
Maintain accurate records of fabric consumption and waste.
