Responsibilities & Context:
Creating and Modifying Designs:
CAD technicians use CAD software to develop and refine 2D drawings and 3D models, translating ideas into technical representations.
Collaborating with Professionals:
They work closely with engineers, architects, and other designers to understand project requirements and ensure designs meet specifications.
Ensuring Accuracy and Compliance:
CAD technicians check drawings for errors, ensuring they adhere to industry standards, building codes, and project requirements.
Generating Documentation:
They produce comprehensive documentation packages, including drawings, diagrams, and plans, for construction, manufacturing, or other purposes.
Maintaining Records:
CAD technicians keep accurate records of design revisions and ensure that all design files are properly managed and archived.
Staying Updated:
They keep abreast of new CAD software releases, technologies, and industry best practices.
