Additional Requirements:
- 6+ years of progressive experience in high-level merchandising, account management, or buying within the apparel/textile industry.
- Proven track record of handling key clients and large orders.
- Skills: Excellent negotiation, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of costing, capacity planning, market analysis, and profitability management.
- Proficiency in ERP, advanced MS Office, and analytical tools.
Responsibilities & Context:
Lead and manage overall merchandising activities for knit garments from order confirmation to final shipment.
Maintain effective communication with international buyers regarding product development, costing, order status, and delivery timelines.
Prepare accurate costing sheets and conduct price negotiations to ensure profitability and buyer competitiveness.
Coordinate with sourcing, procurement, and suppliers to ensure timely availability of fabrics, yarn, and accessories.
Supervise sample development (proto, fit, size set, PP) and ensure buyer approvals are obtained within scheduled timelines.
Work closely with production, planning, and IE teams to ensure capacity alignment and on-time order execution.
Monitor production progress and resolve issues related to quality, lead time, or compliance proactively.
Ensure buyer quality standards, testing requirements, and compliance guidelines are followed throughout the production process.
Coordinate with commercial and logistics teams to ensure accurate documentation and timely shipment of goods.
