• Manage the complete Lab Dip and Colour Development/Formulation Process, from sample receipt to buyer approval, ensuring timely submission and approval.
• Achieve Lab-to-Bulk Right First Time (RFT) of 85–90% and Lab-to-Buyer RFT of 99% through effective colour management and process control.
• Develop accurate, reproducible, and cost-effective dye recipes to ensure Lab-to-Bulk shade consistency and minimize recipe corrections.
• Perform and supervise colour matching using Datacolor Spectrophotometer, colour matching software, and visual assessment under standard light sources (Light Box).
• Review and approve Lab Dip submissions before buyer presentation, ensuring compliance with buyer standards and colour tolerances.
• Lead the Lab Dip team by supervising technicians, assigning daily work, monitoring productivity, and ensuring adherence to laboratory SOPs and safety requirements.
• Monitor and control shade variation, metamerism, Lab-to-Bulk consistency, and other colour-related issues by implementing effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with Production, QA, Merchandising, Planning, Dyeing, and Technical Teams to resolve colour-related issues and ensure timely bulk approvals.
• Optimize dyeing processes to improve Right First Time (RFT) performance, reduce reprocessing, chemical consumption, and overall production cost.
• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory equipment, including the Data color Spectrophotometer (DC 850 & DC1050) and dispensing systems.
• Maintain all laboratory records, Lab Dip databases, calibration logs, recipe libraries, and performance reports in accordance with company and buyer requirements.
• Ensure laboratory environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and conditioning requirements) are maintained as per international standards for accurate Colour Evaluation.
• Support new product development, buyer sample development, seasonal colour developments, and bulk production approvals.
• Provide technical guidance and training to laboratory personnel to improve technical competency and operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory performance, colour consistency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, ISO procedures, environmental standards, and company quality management systems.
• Maintain effective communication with buyers/customers and accurately interpret, communicate, and respond to colour-related comments and approval feedback in English.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management.
