Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for operating and monitoring the reheating furnace to ensure efficient and safe operations.
∎ Maintain proper air fuel mixture during reheating furnace operation.
∎ Maintain ramp up & ramp down curve during reheating furnace operation.
∎ Monitor and control the temperature, heating rates, and heating process variables to ensure the desired temperature of billet
∎ Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule and perform regular preventive maintenance on the reheating furnace Door & Refractory maintenance, burner repair etc..
∎ Identify and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions in the reheating furnace to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted production.
∎ Continuously monitor and analyze the furnace's performance data to identify opportunities for process improvement, energy efficiency, and cost reduction.
∎ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement necessary measures to maintain a safe working environment in the rolling mill production area.
∎ Maintain accurate records of production data, furnace operation logs, maintenance activities, and any incidents or accidents that occur during the shift.
∎ Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives related to reheating furnace operation, such as adopting new technology or lean manufacturing principles.
