Responsibilities & Context:
Akij Ceramics Limited (Akij Bashir Group) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Asst. Engineer/Engineer – Press (Production) to oversee press functions, ensure optimal machine performance, maintain product quality standards, and coordinate with production and maintenance teams for smooth factory operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure consistent production quality by maintaining effective communication with all relevant departments.
Monitor and verify daily press production reports and output performance.
Communicate with department head if any critical problem arises.
Check and maintain all press parameters (pressure, cycle time, moisture, etc.) as per required standards.
Drive daily production targets by optimizing press machine efficiency and minimizing downtime.
Maintain a safe and compliant working environment in line with ISO standards.
Control and reduce wastage of powder and minimize breakage of green tiles during press operations.
Regularly inspect press machines, hydraulic systems, take-off systems, and press line tables; perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with maintenance when needed.
Ensure proper mold handling, cleaning, and alignment for smooth press operation.
Make sure to follow company policies, SOPs, and operational guidelines.
