Experience:
Plan, monitor, and control the complete wet blue production process from soaking to chrome tanning to achieve production targets.
Develop and optimize tanning recipes, chemical consumption, and process parameters to improve leather quality and reduce production costs.
Monitor key quality parameters including shrinkage temperature, chrome oxide content, pH, thickness, area yield, and physical appearance.
Investigate and resolve leather defects such as loose grain, wrinkles, uneven tanning, stains, and poor penetration through root cause analysis.
Coordinate with the Chemical Store and Procurement team to ensure the timely availability of tanning chemicals, dyes, and auxiliaries.
Ensure efficient utilization of raw hides/skins, chemicals, water, steam, and energy while minimizing process waste.
Supervise production personnel and ensure compliance with approved SOPs, production schedules, and quality standards.
Ensure safe handling, storage, and usage of tanning chemicals in accordance with MSDS, Health & Safety guidelines, and company procedures.
Support internal, external, customer, ISO, and Leather Working Group (LWG) audits by maintaining audit-ready documentation and implementing corrective actions.
Train and guide operators and production staff on tanning processes, quality requirements, safety practices, and operational best practices.
