Additional Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
Conduct routine analysis of liquid sodium silicate (Baumé, SiO₂ %, Na₂O %, molar ratio, viscosity, pH, clarity, etc.).
Ensure all raw materials (Silica, caustic soda, water) meet required quality standards before use.
Verify finished product quality against customer/market specifications.
Maintain laboratory equipment (calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting).
Support the plant team in improving process efficiency and reducing off-spec production.
Maintain daily lab analysis reports and share with management.
Train lab staff in safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
Maintain housekeeping and ensure safe disposal of lab waste.
Guide and train junior chemists and lab assistants.
Attend meetings with management and provide technical input for decision-making.
