Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Social Science/ Fashion Studies/Development Studies, or a related subject.
Year of Experience: 1-2 years of proven experience in GBV prevention under UNHCR-funded programmes on tailoring/sewing.
Mandatory Requirements:
Formal or informal training/certification in tailoring/sewing preferred.·
Proficiency in the Rohingya and Bangla languages (English is an asset).·
Prior experience in training or mentoring women/girls is an advantage.

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the WELP Trainer-Tailoring for implementing `Education and Protection for Refugee Community (EPRC) Project` funded by UNHCR, located at Ukhiya & Teknaf Cox’s Bazar)
Position Title: WELP Trainer-Tailoring
C. 1. Key areas of Performance/ Responsibility/ Accountability:
a) Conduct tailoring skills training in accordance with the approved WELP curriculum and training plan for the participants in the WGSS.
b) Delivering both theoretical and hands-on practical sessions, ensuring active participation.
c) Ensure safe use of tailoring equipment and tools
d) Prepare session plans, lesson outlines, and practice exercises.
e) Ensure training schedules are followed, and sessions are completed on time.
f) Identify participants requiring additional support and coordinate with WELP/WGSS staff.
g) Maintain accurate records, including attendance, assessment results, and training progress.
h) Submit regular progress reports to the supervisor.
i) Ensure proper use, maintenance, and cleanliness of sewing machines, tools, and materials. Report any damage, shortages, or maintenance needs promptly.
j) The respective person will promote and uphold safeguarding policies and ensure safeguarding principles are integrated into all activities to protect staff, beneficiaries, and community members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation.
k) Follow established safeguarding reporting procedures for any reportable incident and encourage others to do the same.
Safeguarding & PSEA:
S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)`s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.
Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program`s goals on safeguarding implementation.
Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
